Jessica Niekrasz has spent her career as a strategic leader and communicator with a collaborative approach to moving projects and legislative efforts forward. Her communication, project management, and strategic thinking skills have built credibility and rapport with partners.
Prior to joining Smart Policy Group, Jessica was an Owner and President of Clean Fuel Partners, which owned, operated, and managed biogas facilities in Wisconsin. She has a deep understanding of how facilities work from a financial and operational perspective. In this role, she was appointed to the Dane County Climate Council and the Wisconsin Clean Energy Plan Stakeholder Advisor.
Seeing an opportunity for biogas to tell a better story in the state, Jessica created the Wisconsin Biomass Energy Coalition, a 501C6, advancing policy and solutions for Wisconsin’s renewable natural gas industry while driving national marketplace opportunities for members. She has worked extensively with government officials, community advocates, owners, and other stakeholders to find common interests and solve challenges.
Jessica has a BA in Communications and an MBA in Marketing from Loyola University Chicago. She has also completed Coach Training with the Co-Active Training Institute. Jessica sits on the Board of Directors for RENEW Wisconsin and the Community Board for the Clean Lakes Alliance. Jessica is the Board Chair for the Wisconsin Biomass Energy Coalition and a Board Member for the RENEW Wisconsin Energy Fund.
